What He Said: SY Partners, a consultancy that works with CEOs and their executive teams to design the future of their organizations at times of significant change, spent 18 years of fieldwork studying why brilliant people get “stuck” and what to do about it. They found that thought leaders actually get stuck all the time and can identify when it’s happening without any qualms. Even more interestingly, they found that the ways and moments in which certain people get stuck follows a particular pattern or algorithm. SYPartners decided to build an iPad app to help people get “unstuck” (you can sign up for the beta here). In a fun, entertaining but ultimately productive way, the app allows you to identify how you’re feeling, the kind of stuck you are, and identify a solution.
What We Heard: Digital has the power to be such a hero! It can help us solve problems big and small, superficial and profound. And by enabling people to be introspective and achieve self-improvement, it truly knows no bounds.
